Profiling your lost cat
Click link at the bottom of the
page for your next step.
FBI criminal "profiling" involves the science of examining
the behavior and "signature" of a crime scene, and providing an analysis as to
the personality profile of the offender.
Just like
humans, animals have predictable patterns of behavior that can be studied
through research. We have discovered that the temperament of an individual
cat will be reflected in its behavior when lost. Thus, we have pioneered Feline
Behavioral Profiling, a service of predicting lost cat behavior. This involves
conducting an extensive interview with the cat owner, and then providing them
with suggestions of what likely happened to their missing cat. Like profiling
criminal behavior, Feline Behavioral Profiling is simply a system of identifying
the "probabilities" of what may have happened to a particular missing cat, based
on our professional analysis.
At
this time, there is only one trained, full-time profiler. If your cat is
missing, and you are interested in checking into this (fee-based) service,
contact Jenne Mundy, (210) 535-3875.
Jenne became a member of our missing pet organizations and
support groups when her indoor-only kitty Katka, slipped outside last year.
By the time Katka was finally recovered, almost three months later, Jenne was a
moderator, and doing volunteer work on the Missing Cat Assistance Board.
Jenne was trained by Kat Albrecht, founder of Missing Pet Partnership, in both
-lost cat behavior, and offering professional profiling services for both indoor
and outdoor-access cats that are missing. This is an excellent service to use if
you need an outside and objective observer to analyze what most likely happened
to your cat. Jenne Mundy can be contacted via the information below and you can
read more about her services at
